This 4th lands on Saturday and we are going to stay open till Midnight. yep Night Ride!!!!! If you have never been here for a night ride, you are in for a treat. It is as if you are in a different park.
Just a note and reminder we are no longer open on Thursdays.

I know it is early to predict the weather but it looks like a great weekend ahead. Trails will be in very good shape as all will dry out by then from that blast of rain on Saturday. I’m told the river is cool and refreshing for a dip after a long day of wheelin’. Soooo.
Bring your fire works and you can set them off in the parking lot at dark.
We’ll have some. Let’s fire em off and wheel into the night.

This is the first Mega 4×4 Challenge with the new format for Class DD Super Trucks. This class will flat out floorboard it up our rock faces. So along with our regular rock crawling you will be able to see these trucks mixed in through the day. All events will be performed one at a time for maximum viewing.

Weather looks great ahead with no rain predicted for Saturday. We will have food, lots of water and sodas for sale throughout the day.  All event’s obstacles will have shade tree’s in spectator areas. If this is your first event light weight lawn chairs are a good idea

95% of the park will be available for trail riding so you can watch and ride.

Admission is $10.00 per person 10 and older. If you want to bring your vehicle into the park it is an extra $10.00.

Gates open at 9:30 events start at 10:00am.
We still have spots in all classes for additional vehicles. If you want to compete you must be there by 8:30am to register and get tech inspected.

I can use some volunteers to help with the event, you must be able to be there by 9:00am if so please contact me at 864 449 5698.

This Saturday get Dad A new Gulches T-Shirt.  First 20 full pay vehicles to come in on Saturday the 20th get a free Gulches T-Shirt

We are open Sunday Fathers Day normal Sunday hours.

We have been lucky that the damage that has hit Laurens has not hit us. The Park is in very good shape.    Today, Friday,  the bottom is in very good shape all rain has run off as we wanted it to.

We have several campers in the park this weekend. With the campers already there you will want to get here early to get your T-Shirt Saturday morning.  I know it is hot but they expaect a breeze and the bottom is 10 to 20 degrees cooler not to mention the river is swimable. Should be a fun weekend  come on out.

Hopefully this will be our first night ride of the year. Last month it was canceled because of weather and that may be the case this weekend. But so far we have had no rain and the trails and obstacles are in great shape. The rain has stayed north of us. Friday We got rain in the late afternoon on Thursday.  And no rain on Friday so the bottom trail 2 will be a little damp and maybe sloppy in a few spots but like last weekend the obstacles and almost all the trails were in great shape.  I am not a mud fan and I rode most of the park including Heartbreaker, Shipwreck, Trail9, and Radical and barely got my tires dirty.

Our night rides, for those of you who do not know, are open from 10:00 am till midnight. At night it is like being at a different park everything is a little bit different. Same price of admission as normal Saturdays. So let’s hope the weather holds and come on out and support your local off road park.

thanks

Looks like the weather man screwed up again last week with their prediction of rain all weekend.  Now they are calling for great weather and therefore very good trail conditions this weekend.  Today, Friday, we have had a lot of rain on Thursday and today.  The bottom is holding up but will be sloppy in a few places.  As the weekend goes on it should dry out nicely.  I would say that all vehicles will be okay but to be safe stock vehicles should call Saturday morning for a complete trail update.  Sunday should be fine.     864 449 5698
