Gulches Weather Info

The weather is cooling down and looks good for our last night ride of the year. We will be open from 10:00 am until midnight. Of course this is weather permitting. Rain may cancel the night ride. However it looks like it should be perfect weather. So let’s see you there.  I am riding this night ride as I have missed every night ride this summer.

Just a related note those of you who thought we were rained out last weekend for the Mega 4×4 Challenge the finale, missed one very exciting event. We basically had a rain free event with a 5 minute rain at around 2:00. So if it is raining by you, it doesn’t mean it is raining by us at the park. We are in that mode where the park seems to miss most of the rain when it is called scattered.

Well once again we look at a possible rain event for Saturday.  If the weather folks could be trusted I would cancel the  event to next weekend but since they seem to be wrong more than they are right for the park area we will go ahead with the event for Saturday.  This means though that if it rains, Saturday we will cancel and move it to next weekend.

So far the park is in very good shape as we have not gotten the rain they called for.   Best bet call Sat morning. 864 449 5698

Well I know they have been calling for rain but as of Thursday we have only had a few sprinkles.  Scattered showers have seemed kept to the north and west.

The weather temperature wise looks like perfect wheelin’ weather.  So  unless we get clobbered with rain on Friday this could be a good weekend.  Best bet if you think we are getting rain is to call.  864 449 5698

Also a Carolina Carnage 3 minute Gulches Got Talent movie trailer is being released tomorrow.  I will update this site as how to view it.

Weather looks good for this Event we have gotten the much needed rain this week and rocks are clean and dust should be down.

Gulches Got Talent Saturday Sept. 12th

This event is so big and so exciting that a major DVD Production Company is going to make a movie out of it called Carolina Carnage. So we need lots of folks cheering their favorite drivers on. Also, we will be open until midnight (Night Ride!!!). Once the event is over they are going to take their crew, and video from one end of the park to the other. They are bringing lights for night time action. At this point anyone may survive the editing cuts and be in the video.

They have created Event T-Shirts for sale and of course we will have the usual fare of food, Gulches Tee’s and stickers.

The event winners will be decided by you the spectators and driver fans. Just like America’s got Talent we will have ballots at the registration tent so you can vote for your favorite driver. Ballots will cost a dollar. 100% of the ballot money will be distributed to the top 3 drivers. You can vote once for a buck or many times for many bucks.

Event costs: $10.00 per person 10 and older and an additional $10.00 to get your rig in to trail ride. 95% of the park will be open to ride if you get too excited watching the event. More info is available on our home page click Gulches Got Talent.

We will be open this weekend starting Friday at 12 noon and ending Monday around 6pm. Saturday and Sunday are normal hours with Monday Labor day opening at 10 AM.

And WOW what great weather we are having and it is supposed to be like this right through the weekend.

Saturday we once again will feature at lunch time Skip’s Soon to be Famous Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches with his Mystery BBQ Sauce. This is served with the normal bill of fare but we might add baked beans and potato salad.

We have two groups coming in from out of town one is a group all the way from Florida.  So come on out, plan one day to enjoy this tremendous weather.
