Gulches Weather Info

Well the weather and the weather folks have done a great job of killing business at the park.  There are 5 weekends this month and  that is always a chance for us to get even,…but   The first weekend was our last Mega 4×4 Challenge event and it rained everywhere but on us we had the event but hardly anyone showed up as most thought it had to be pouring out here. The second weekend the weather folks said it was going to rain all weekend but it did not rain at all.  This week long rant about rain on the weekend not only scared folks away from Gulches but almost killed Fall For Greenville’s attendance.  Finally, the third weekend the weather gurus said that we would have a great weekend with cool dry absolutely wonderful weather.  Well it rained so hard Saturday we had to cancel the Rock Race.  Then they got on-board the oh no it’s raining forecast and predicted that it would rain on Sunday also. We Had No Rain on Sunday and no one showed up.

This weekend they have called for rain on Saturday all week. I don’t think so.  I think we may get a little rain at night Friday and it will be nice for riding on Saturday.  I can’t be anymore wrong than they have.  If your thinking about coming out riding please do.

We really need your support this month.  I will be at the park Saturday about 9:30am, call for trail conditions (864 449 5698)  Right now the park is dry and in very good condition.

Rain Rain go away so we can play on a very nice day.  The weather man got it terribly wrong and it rained from 4 am til noon. We will try to open Sunday for open riding. It will still be wet but if it is not raining I will open. Call me I will be there by 9:00am for trail conditions. 864 449 5698

We got some rain on Monday and Tuesday night but it has been low humidity and the park is drying out nicely.  They are calling for scattered rain for Friday night and Saturday (50% chance) which usually means we don’t get rain.  So we will be open (unless the sky falls out and it pours.)  You can always call Sat. morning to get park conditions.  864 449 5698  Remember if it rains by you it most likely is not raining at the park.

Next weekend is the rock race Lord of the Gulches event.  There is a different format this year and the park (95%) of it will be available for trail riding.
