Yes we are open Friday at 11:oo am till dark and regular hours for the rest of the weekend.  The park is in very good shape the winds are drying it out from last Sundays rain.  All easy trails are solid so all 4×4 vehicles should be alright.

This is it, the Lord of the Gulches Rock Race will begin at about 10:30 this Saturday.  Conditions are perfect for them and all vehicles. So come on out and see the best drivers in the South compete for the title of Lord of the Gulches.  Can Chris May retain his title or will he be unseated and a new competitor will receive the coveted scepter that makes him Lord of the Gulches for 2010.

Trail conditions are very good and the flood waters of the great flood of 2009 have receded.

Sunday may be a different story as scattered rain is called for.  Call for conditions. 864 449 5698

Come on out and taste or enter your chili this Saturday.

As to park conditions, well, let’s say, it at least is not dusty after that deluge we had Tuesday and Wednesday. As of Thursday afternoon at 3pm the bottom is flooded – about 3 to 12 feet in some areas. However, I am going to be open this weekend as all the trails in between are in very good shape. That being said the flood waters could recede today or tonight in time for Saturday. However stock vehicles with street tires and most all terrains should look for a better weekend. Weather the flood water recedes or not the trails you will need to traverse will not keep your vehicle safe from sliding into deep water or trees and debris.

I had a great time checking out the park, skirting the deep water and being forced to run trails the wrong way. I was running sections of trail 2 in 3 to 4 feet of river water. Spooky and exciting.

Trails that are good to go if the water does not recede and stays as it was Thursday: 56 to 6, 7 and 8— Heartbreaker —–A1A—-Rockerknocker to 17 and 18 from trail 26—- Ship wreck radical and death valley—- Papa gulch —- and 15 and 16.
19, 20 and 3 are under water. Once again all this should change very soon. Best bet for lesser built rigs – call for up to the minute trail conditions. 864 449 5698

And of course it will be a great day for the Chili Cook Off

WOW!!!  The leaves are beautiful and the weather is going to be dry and cool, the park trails are in great shape.  YOU NEED TO BE HERE.  It doesn’t get much better than this.

We have a new trail for narrower more stock vehicles just opening this weekend.

The Coastal Carolina Off Road group is coming in for the weekend. It is always fun to ride with folks from out of town.

Come on out , see ya there.
