Rain rain go away.  We need to dry out.  The bottom trail 2  is sloppy but very manageable with mud terrain tires.  Stock vehicles with street or All terrain tires should pick a different weekend.  Rigs with lockers and all terrains should be okay.  Connecting trails are all pretty good.  I’d like to start out the new year with a dry park but all considered with all this rain the park is not in two bad a shape.  Hope to see you there.  We need all the support we can get as I was only open 3 days in December.  Happy New Year to All and God bless.

Looks like great weather for the weekend at this time.  first timers and stock rigs should call for trail conditions.  With all the flooding and the rain Thursday night it may leave some easy trails wet.  But the park drains very well and hopefully we will be in great shape.

As the saying goes, “Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise” well the creek rose but it settled back into its banks.  So Saturday looks like the day.  Rain is supposed to be late if at all in our area. If you look up the Waterloo weather on Accuweather.com hour by hour for Saturday it looks like no rain at all with a chance at 2pm then no rain from 3 to 8pm.  The bottom fared very well after the flood this week which was very minor.   When the water recedes it takes all the soft stuff with it and the trails are left hard. I drove the entire park today (Friday) and it was in very good shape.    So come on out and let’s play.

Well I thought the river was receding, but I was wrong.  The river is at least 70 feet over it’s banks and still cresting.  Therefore I am forced to close Saturday December 5th.  I will try to open Sunday.  I will post Saturday evening about Sunday’s conditions.
