Friday 5:00pm.       River is going down and we will be in very good shape and we will be open Saturday and Sunday. Stock rigs with street tires may want to come Sunday or another weekend with dryer conditions. Other than that all 4×4’s should be alright

Can you remember a high temp of 70 degrees? Well that’s whats coming this weekend. What a great weekend to ride and camp.

Friday, if we get some rain, it will just knock down the dust we kicked up last weekend. This kind of weather does not last long, so don’t miss out. We’ll see you there.

With the impending storm predicted for Monday we will be closed Labor Day. Open regular hours next weekend with the GGT Event on Saturday.

Saturday and Sunday looks wonderful. Monday they are calling for rain but whether we get the weather only Monday will tell. We will open Monday at 10 am and stay open unless we get a heavy downpour. Concerned about Monday”s conditions call us. 864 449 5698. Again we will be open from Friday till Monday late afternoon. Labor Day weekend pass is $50.00 and first 10 passes get a free T-Shirt.

PANIC….. QUICK BUY MILK AND BREAD IRENE IS COMING TO YOUR HOUSE!!!!!

Okay put the milk in the frig and the bread in the freezer and let’s enjoy what looks like a great weather weekend riding. With a high of 88 and lower humidity and maybe a breeze from Irene we should be in near perfect shape. All trails will be open all size 4×4 ’s should do fine.

We have a few coming up from Augusta with a new motor in a buggy. Looking forward to seeing everyone in this fall like weather.

Last Saturday we got a good bit of rain which knocked the dust down.  Now after a week of very dry weather we should be in very good shape for the weekend.  We have a couple of campers coming  in. And of course this is our last scheduled night ride.  Come in early stay late or come in late and stay late.

Well I guess the good news is it is not supposed to be in the 90’s at all this weekend. 87 degrees almost frosty.

Park is dry right now all trails open. They are calling for rain on Saturday late afternoon. But we are in that pattern where unless the whole upstate is socked in we don’t get the rain, maybe a drizzle. Which is all we have gotten for a couple weeks.

We have several campsites taken and one large group coming in from the NC4×4 Forum. We also have several first timers coming in so any rangers that can make it I will need the help.

We are very dry and of course hot. But the park is in great shape and the river is very cool and refreshing. We may get some of those pop up heat showers but with the park so dry it should not change anything. If you are concerned as to the park trail conditions please do not hesitate to call 864 449 5698.

Well so far we are in very good shape mud is where mud should be and dry is where dry should be.  If we get no more rain all trails will be open.  Dust is down from Wednesday’s rain.  So far as I write this we look like we missed the rain this morning.
Gulchfest, by Nelms Off Road, looks real good and they have over 40 vehicles paid up coming as far as Miami FL. and many more committed to check in Saturday.  Should be fun to see rigs from all over the Southeast.  They even brought musicians to play Saturday evening for all to listen to. There is going to be a large raffle with great prizes with one of the top prizes being a set of tires.  Raffle tickets I believe are $4.00.  You can still register with Nelms at the park to get in on all the great food,(lunch and dinner) snacks, drinks and bonus raffle tickets or if you just want to ride you can register with me in the office for the normal Gulches pricing.  Which ever way you register it should be a blast.
Today, Friday, we are open til midnight so the price today to ride is the same as Saturday rates.  Again on Saturday we ride till midnight.
See you there.

Well I was shocked when I got there today thinking I would be draining silt ponds all day. The park is bone dry no rain as of yet.
I hope I don’t jinx it but we should be in very good shape if we don’t get a monsoon tonite or tomorrow. I will update late Friday. And you can always call for conditions 864 449 5698

Friday

I did it.  I jinxed it.  Monsoon last night late.  But we dried out pretty good by 11:00 am.  Toured a four runner open open and he did good. Rocks are clean and no dust.  We drain pretty good any way.  So it should be a great weekend with the three groups coming in.
